Middlesex League

For the first time in the clubs history Hounslow IBC won the Middlesex League in 2009/10. In an exciting final Hounslow beat Jack Hi IBC by 2 shots. Hounslow have been runner up on two previous occasions but this year it was their turn to be the bride. On the way to the final Hounslow inflicted the first league (not final) defeat on Jack IBC for 3 years, it was then that Hounslow knew it was their time even though Hounslow didn't even know that they had qualified for the semi finals until the last game of the league stages. Once again we must comiserate with Jack Hi but also congratulate the club for a superb achievement of reaching their tenth consecutive Middlesex League Final winning the trophy seven times in a row and being runner up on three occasions. Hounslow IBC have started the season, before a bowl has even been delivered, by recapturing from Jack Hi not only the Middlesex League trophy but the services of one of Middlesex's top lead bowlers in Dave Pitt so they will not be easy to knock off the top pearch.
